On Saturday, November 27th, we left our site at Davis Camp Park near Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV.

Got a late start, left our campsite at Davis Park Camp at about 10:20 AM! Sunny but still a bit breezy.  Hear tell this is a windy place this time of year!  The Saturday crowd started to show up as we were leaving...

We continued south passing through Bullhead City and Fort Mohave, AZ before venturing into California at Needles, CA.  We read that on August 13, 2012, Needles experienced a thunderstorm that dropped rain at a temperature of 115 degrees F that set a record for the hottest rain ever recorded on earth.  The air temperature at the time was 118!  We prefer NOT to go into California.  It feels really uncomfortable to us... We saw this gas sign in needles as we were passing through...WOW!

We were only in California for 14 miles and didn't stop.  The roads were bad and the area along the highway was quite trashy.  Once we crossed the Colorado River back into AZ the roads and the general feel of the area was better.  We continued on I-40 eastbound and turned south on Highway 95 towards Lake Havasu City and points south looking to stay in one of the Arizona State Parks on the Colorado River...

We had no reservations, but stopped first at Cattail Cove State Park.  Beautiful place!

They made a wonderful white sand beach there!...

But the campground was  full!  so we moved on down the river to River Island State Park, another nice park with a nice beach!

But once again the campsites were all full!  So on down the river we go to Buckskin Mountain State Park...

They had a dry-camping site we were able to stay in until a water and electric site opened the next day...

Nice!

We spent four days here, relaxing, riding the electric bikes while towing Bill and Ted in their trailer, and riding the bikes further down the river to a floating bar where we had an ice cold beer!

We were at Buckskin until December first, when we will head to our monthlong stay at Morenga Palms RV Park near Wenden, AZ.
