Our WEBOOST RV-X booster has made it possible for us to keep secure internet access in these remote areas.  The antenna is raised as high as possible (we used a telescoping swimming pool cleaning pole).  The antenna signal  (Cell and 4G) goes down the cable to an amplifier and is then transmitted into the RV.  we have a Verizon Jetpack Hotspot mounted near the inside transmitting antenna...it uses the Verizon 4G and turns it into WI-FI to feed our devices.  We have been getting up to 25 MBS download speed here at Buckskin Mountain State Park.  Without the booster we would not get much at all...if any!

Tuesday, Dec 10 we left the Cattail Cove State Park and followed the Colorado River down a whopping 14 miles to Buckskin Mountain State Park,AZ.  Sunny with light winds...

We were blessed to get a spot here as it is usually booked months in advance!  We got into site #6...right on the river!  Water and electric hookups...

Right at the end of the road!

Quiet and private!

River is right in front!

We are here for a week....Dec 10 thru 16.  Its a beautiful place!

 Bill and Ted...The Boys!

We hiked up on the bluff above the campground...the other side of the lake is in California..we are right on the border...

In this campground the have signs that tell the names of all of the trees...The Olive Tree and the Lemon Tree are easy!

They had a nice Christmas display set up in the campground!

The weather was pretty nice the week that we were here...rained once overnight...Temps were in the upper 60s during the day...still gets chilly at nigt...down to the lower 50s.

We move on to our next spot tomorrow, Dec 10th...

Tuesday, December 3, 2019

Tuesday, Dec 3 we left the Lake Mead area and made our way on down the Colorado River via Lake Havasu and made it to our camp at Cattail Cove State Park, AZ.  About 150 miles....sunny with light winds...

We were blessed to get a spot as its usually booked months in advance!

They made a white sand beach...looks like a Caribbean Island!

We were in Site #16 - Looking towards Lake Havasu...

The weather is in the upper 60s and is forecast to stay that way for the entire 7 days we are here...

Sunday, Dec 1 and Monday, Dec 2 we explored the area a bit...went to the Hoover Dam Visitor Center and checked out Hoover Dam.  I walked out on the bridge on the walkway...Barbi didn't want anything to do with that!

Both evenings we went to the Harbor House floating restaurant at the nearby Boulder Beach Marina.  Its a long walk on the dock out to the restaurant.  Still chilly but no wind.

Had great dinners on both evenings!  On the way in or out of the restaurant the "tame" fish come over to see if you have a treat for them!  There are dozens of them!

These are not small fish!!  the ones with the glowing eyes are Stiped Bass,  The others are Carp and Channel Catfish.  I would estimate the Stripers at 2 to 6 pounds...the Carp...maybe up to 30 or 40.  They have bags of popcorn to feed the fish.  Lots of fun!  Grand Daughter Ivy would love it!

Tomorrow, Tuesday Dec 3 we move on to the next Campsite!
